This was our first visit and I could not have been more impressed! The staff was very polite and professional. Dr. Israel was amazing! Our little Chloe is having to have minor surgery. I feel totally comfortable and confident |
Do we see exotics?
We see some exotics for very general purposes. We do wing/beak/and nail trims on small, medium, and large birds. We neuter rabbits, sugar gliders, and pigs. For health-related issues and general care we recommend Avian and Exotic Animal Care in Raleigh, NC. |
My cat was well taken care of by a very caring Dr. Watson. We didn’t have to wait to see a vet which made the visit easier on the cat. We will be back! |
Do we recommend Heartworm and Flea/Tick prevention all year?
Yes. The weather in NC is so unpredictable that there is no guarantee it will get cold enough to stop insect cycles. If you stop these products in the winter months your animal could still be exposed to mosquitos that carry heartworms and other intestinal parasites, as well as, flea and ticks that carry diseases such as Lyme. |
We have been using Pinetree Animal Hospital for the past year since moving into the area. I have had to take our dog in several times for routine vaccination visits and different issues she has had. All of the Drs are great! The techs are also very helpful. Each one has been caring and very supportive of each problem we have needed addressed. A Dr that is not afraid to sit on the floor and talk to our dog while examining her is what you want! So glad I found this place. |
Do we offer/take pet insurance?
Pet insurances at this time are not the same as human insurance. Most insurance companies for pets do not do direct pay to the veterinarian. After your visit you are required to pay and then submit the proper information and invoice to the insurance company. They then pay you directly. Currently the only pet insurance that offers direct pay to the veterinary is Trupanion. We are set up for this option in our office. |

Do we take walk-ins?
Typically no. We are a scheduling clinic; however, we always try our best to work-in and accommodate our existing clients with same day urgent matters. For non-established clients we recommend Urgent Vet for Pets in Southern Pines, NC. For non-urgent matters such as vaccines we are happy to schedule a future appointment. |
